+ | *'''History''': Fractal's parents arrived on Earth in 1947 and eventually found employment at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in a top secret division overseen by the CIA. They worked on both physics research and development of new nuclear weapon designs. Fractal grew up with other Hoomiku and was cared for by her parents as much as was physically possible. In 1986, her parents were killed following accidental exposure to fatal radiation levels during an experiment ordered by the CIA to research telepathy blocking techniques. Both died in front of Fractal, who refused to leave their side in the infirmary. She was placed in the care of foster parents following the accident. While she never considered them her new parents, she did return their affection and was polite, but continued to be deeply wounded by the loss of her parents.

In 1989, ''The New York Times'' publishes classified information leaked by CIA analyst Jack Thornwell regarding the extent and details of projects involving the Hoomiku held by the United States. The Thornwell leak is considered the defining moment when rumors of aliens form into fact, as he divulged major details about the Hoomiku, including crimes committed by the United States and Soviet Union towards them. President George H. W. Bush eventually acknowledges the species in 1990 under growing pressure from both Congress and the press, a move followed shortly by Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. The United Nations General Assembly drafts Resolution 45/77, defining both the rights of Hoomiku to basic laws and defining the security and privacy of thought as a basic human right. Given that a breeding population exists on Earth, they are not in danger of dying out. The public is shocked, but no massive social upheaval occurs. Several hate crimes do occur, however, and prompt legislation with regards to both the use of telepathy in certain situations and locations and providing the basis for a lawsuit filed by several hundred Hoomiku against the United States. The suit is ruled in favor of the Hoomiku and as a result, Fractal is entitled to a free college education, a house, and $40,000 on her 18th birthday. She attends New Mexico Tech and briefly works as a DJ at a local radio station. Eventually, she transferred to New Mexico University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in both botany and physics.

Following graduation, she began to work at a start-up in Albuquerque studying new techniques for indoor crop growth. In 2006, she traveled to Russia for research into aeroponic farming techniques studied by the Russian Federal Space Agency. There she met Ian Rubin in Star City, and the two hit it off and began dating until Ian's flight to the International Space Station on September 18, 2006. The two resumed their relationship following the flight and in December, Fractal moved to Louisiana. The two were married on December 23, 2007.
| ||

+ | ** Greg is able to pull a gilded metal key from his pocket at will, which he can use to produce a door out of thin air. When used, it is manifested as Greg inserting the key into the air, at which point it disappears as though inserted into an invisible lock. At this point, Greg can push open a door in the air, which is apparently made out of Lucite or acrylic. Greg (and by extension anyone else) can then step through the door to the location connected to the door, which can either be freestanding on the other end or an actual door. The chosen location can be to anywhere in the universe (for example, a door leading from an alley to a location across a city) or to a location in another plane of existence (for example, from an alley in a city in the Caribbean to a recreation of a bar in the afterlife). In this way, the door acts as a wormhole similar to the doors from the Pixar film ''[[Wikipedia:Monsters, Inc.|Monsters, Inc.]]''. Anyone viewing these doors from the side would see the location of the door as an incredibly thin line of smoky, solid air, and viewed from the rear, the area where the door is would appear as a square of a similar smoky, solid area of air that can be stepped through with no ill effect other than a sensation best describe as having stepped through a cold air curtain.

+ | *'''History (Revised for forum RP)''': Only child raised by her mother. Dad's rarely mentioned and Mom insinuates (read: ''adamantly maintains'') he's dead and spaced. No proof of it, though. Regardless, Bonnie has grown up in the light of the renaissance of renewed interest in Earth on Goldfern Station, brought up by a mother who worked far too hard for far too little money, but who genuinely loved her and filled her with wonderful stories of adventure, space and wonder for the "Pale Blue Dot". Tales of great explorers, the heady early days of space travel, the men and women who fought to break out of gravity wells to visit worlds in the same system. Tales of outlaws, as well: her namesake, Bonnie Parker, of pirates and Capone... of their fates and of the music and culture of a place lost to time and space. Filled with dreams, she fought hard to get her captain's license... only to discover that dreams have prices... as well as interest rates and late fees. Striking out on her own and saddled with a few old debts but no ship to pay them, she takes out one last loan: to buy a ticket to another star, another world. One where a ship awaits, she hopes, along with jobs, wealth and maybe, just maybe... Earth and eternal glory.
+ | *'''First intro''': Arrives at Helios Station with just enough to pay the docking fee, but her ship is repossessed within 10 minutes of her getting there. Stranded and pissed off, she decides to blow some of her meager savings at a bar, where a ''highly'' drunk tiger sits next to her and, in the middle of trying to tell him off, he reveals something highly crucial to her quest. She decides to ply the rest out of him with a few more drinks. She gets the info, but stripes decides to try to get into her pants right there in the middle of the room. She cracks a bottle of booze over his head and knocks him out cold, and grabs a few mysterious coins he's dropped while getting out of there. As "Timber" by Pitbull starts to play, she races away from station security as fast as her legs will carry her, shoving aside anything in her way and doing a good attempt at parkour... until she runs into her new best friend...

+ | *'''"Short" version:''' Otonichi (alien sneps) and Hoomiku (other alien felines with big ears) evolve on a planet around the star Tau Ceti named Ishonko. They eventually master space travel. Sometime in the 1930's, war were declared. King Zalkyo Jeskalt, of the Otonichi, is a murderous fuckwit. He hates hoomiku and the war grinds to a stalemate up to the moment when a couple of hoomiku terrorists blow up a city where the body of the Great Scribe, the most revered figure in Otonichi history, resided in a glass sarcophagus. Zalkyo decides "These people are DEAD" and goes on a genocidal bender. Most hoomiku are dead, and the few who aren't flee to Earth towards the end of World War II. A few rogue hoomiku hide out in an asteroid mining base somewhere in space and tinker with time travel. They get discovered by the Otonichi in the 1950's and press the magic button to GTFO. They end up around earth in 1859 in the middle of the worst recorded solar storm in history. They escape to Earth. We'll come back to them in a bit, because THIS part is also complicated. Time keeps moving into the future. Someone comes to Zalkyo during the Cuban Missle Crisis with the suggestion that "Look, these people are going to blow each other up. If they DON'T, they could be a problem. Fuck with enough of their space program, and they'll stay on the ground." He signs off on this, and a few teams go covert on Earth to do that, since they look like snow leopards. They screw around with the Russian lunar rocket, kill the Apollo 1 crew in the fire, and POSSIBLY do something to Apollo 13. They then lie back until 1986, when the Space Shuttle ''Challenger'' launches with a teacher on board. ''ENTER DIVERGENCE POINT BETWEEN LOOKING GLASS LAND AND REGULAR LAND '''HERE'''.'' Now, in 'Looking Glass Land', they activate the range safety system on the Space Shuttle right at SRB ignition and it blows up on the launch pad, killing the crew, destroying the pad and possibly killing a few people watching. The nation's devastated, but things go on and they're not caught. In 1990, they destroy Space Shuttle ''Discovery'' during STS-31 and blow it up in the air, killing the crew, destroying the Shuttle '''and''' the Hubble Space Telescope. This, coming four years after ''Challenger'', ends America's manned space program at the 1991 State of the Union. With no Space Shuttle to work on the ISS, and no ISS to speak of, the Superconducting Super Collider, a large atom smasher in Texas, is completed by 2000 rather than being cancelled in 1994. It discovers the Higgs boson in 2002... and lead researcher for the SDC collaboration Fractal Calliden, who married her college sweetheart Roger and has a son named Zach, announces the news. The Russians and Chinese, meanwhile, stubbornly carry forth with space. Around 2012, Melor Oliver, a big ol' wolf, is discovered to be using time travel to send stock information two minutes into the past to himself to make money. The SEC is annoyed and tries to pin him for something, but no luck. They do, however, Shanghai him into a secret project to research this. In 2017, the Otonichi try to screw with a Shenzhou launch from Jiquan. That's when they fuck up and the Chinese catch them. The world is now made aware of what's going on and that there's aliens screwing with our space programs. China hauls them out in a big show trial, then kills them for treason. |

The chosen location can be to anywhere in the universe (for example, a door leading from an alley to a location across a city) or to a location in another plane of existence (for example, from an alley in a city in the Caribbean to a recreation of a bar in the afterlife). In this way, the door acts as a wormhole similar to the doors from the Pixar film Monsters, Inc..

- History (Revised for forum RP): Only child raised by her mother. Dad's rarely mentioned and Mom insinuates (read: adamantly maintains) he's dead and spaced.
- First intro: Arrives at Helios Station with just enough to pay the docking fee, but her ship is repossessed within 10 minutes of her getting there. Stranded and pissed off, she decides to blow some of her meager savings at a bar, where a highly drunk tiger sits next to her and, in the middle of trying to tell him off, he reveals something highly crucial to her quest.
Alternate universe/timeline descriptions
Looking Glass Land
- "Short" version: Otonichi (alien sneps) and Hoomiku (other alien felines with big ears) evolve on a planet around the star Tau Ceti named Ishonko. They then lie back until 1986, when the Space Shuttle Challenger launches with a teacher on board. ENTER DIVERGENCE POINT BETWEEN LOOKING GLASS LAND AND REGULAR LAND HERE. Now, in 'Looking Glass Land', they activate the range safety system on the Space Shuttle right at SRB ignition and it blows up on the launch pad, killing the crew, destroying the pad and possibly killing a few people watching. The nation's devastated, but things go on and they're not caught. In 1990, they destroy Space Shuttle Discovery during STS-31 and blow it up in the air, killing the crew, destroying the Shuttle and the Hubble Space Telescope. This, coming four years after Challenger, ends America's manned space program at the 1991 State of the Union.
