WestCOT is a theme park at the Magnolia Bend Disneyland Resort. The park is dedicated to international culture and technological innovation. The fourth park built at the resort, the initial technology themed section of the park, known as Future World, opened on October 1, 2009. The park's second section, known as the World Showcase, is scheduled to open in early to mid-2010.

  • October 1, 2004: Jay Rasulo, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and Ian Rubin, CEO of Lafayette Incorporated, reveal plans for the theme park.
  • October 1, 2005: Official groundbreaking and construction of the park begins.
